Flynn Fellowship Home is grateful to share that we’ve received a $15,000 Community Grant from the Gaston Community Foundation—presented during a check ceremony on November 10, 2025 (photos below).
This support strengthens our ability to offer safe, structured recovery housing in Gastonia for men rebuilding their lives after drug addiction and alcoholism. For people who are ready for change but need the stability of a supportive home, a solid routine, and accountability, this kind of community investment matters.
What this grant helps make possible
With this $15,000 award, we can better sustain and strengthen the day-to-day foundations that help residents move forward, including:
- Stable transitional living (a recovery residence / halfway house model that supports long-term progress)
- A supportive home environment focused on responsibility, structure, and community
- Program needs that remove barriers, so residents can keep momentum while rebuilding work, family ties, and healthy routines
A community partnership that creates real impact
We appreciate the Gaston Community Foundation for seeing the value in re-entry support and recovery-focused housing that keeps people connected to hope, purpose, and community.
As Lauren Sease Vanacore, Community Engagement Officer with the Gaston Community Foundation, shared with us: “Look forward to seeing all the impactful things FFH will do in 2026!” We’re looking forward to that too—and we’re committed to putting this grant to work in ways that directly benefit the people we serve.
