What is the Just Call program?

Just Call is a free educational program run by Gaston Together, a nonprofit partnering with Gaston County Public Health and funded through opioid settlement resources. It trains community members to respond to an opioid emergency.

Participants learn what naloxone (Narcan) is, how to use it, when to call 911, and where to find mental health and substance use resources. The goal is to make Narcan training as common and comfortable as CPR.

Who it is for

The program serves middle and high school students, seniors, business employees, government workers, and nonprofit staff across Gaston County. Churches, workplaces, and community groups can all benefit from having trained people on hand.
