Gaston County Recovery Court: A Second Chance Built on Accountability

How the program works

WBTV highlighted the program in June 2026. Recovery Court serves people facing nonviolent felony charges tied to drug use. After an objective screening, participants follow an intensive, personalized plan that includes completing treatment, community service, and classes. They face frequent random drug tests and regular check-ins with the judge, and there are consequences when rules are broken.

The program was relaunched in 2024. Julie Frye completed it and spoke about how years of addiction had damaged her family and her relationships with her children.

Lives are being changed and even saved because of what we’re doing.

Why it matters to us

At Flynn Fellowship Homes, we see every day how much stable housing, routine, and accountability matter after treatment or court involvement. Programs like Recovery Court and a structured recovery residence work best together, because lasting recovery needs a safe place to live as well as a plan.
